The Nine Days represent an appropriate opportunity on the Jewish calendar to reflect on the lessons of the Holocaust.
During the Holocaust, a large part of the Warsaw Jewish community was sent to their deaths in the Treblinka extermination camp. The deportation of the Jews began on the eve of Tisha B’Av in 1942.
Adi Farkash, Senior Jewish Agency Shlicha to ASHER, shared a presentation on “Images from the Warsaw Ghetto” during the nine days leading up to Tisha B’Av, which falls out on Sunday this year, to staff from the Jewish Agency for Israel.
