ASHER is dedicated to bringing meaningful lessons from the Holocaust to the world, so that those lessons may have a positive impact in the fight against contemporary antisemitism and hatred.
We are a non-profit organization founded by a group of leaders who have spent decades committed to this cause. With many of us being descendants of Holocaust survivors, ASHER’s purpose is deeply meaningful to us all, and our goals are heartfelt.
ASHER leverages partnerships with experts in education and Holocaust studies and remembrance, to offer unique and innovative experiences to a broader audience than any of us can reach alone.
We strive to ensure the Holocaust is remembered, allowing individuals to gain insight, understanding, and meaning from the past to shape a better future.
We are creating a full ecosystem of advisors, educators, scholars, and Jewish communal leaders from the US and Israel; all ready to share their expertise, networks, knowledge, and collective skill sets.
We serve not only as a respected voice, but also as a conduit that collaborates with and empowers individuals and organizations to unite in applying the lessons of the Holocaust through educational programs, initiatives, and events.
We need to honor the history of those who came before us and preserve it. It is this history that guides us, inspires us, and most importantly, helps us to rewrite the future.
If we don’t remember, we not only lose the meaningful lessons that were taught, but we deprive the generations that follow the chance to ever learn them.
Without our commitment to remember, there are those who might forget, and those who may never get the chance to know.
The Holocaust, one of history's darkest periods, saw six million Jews systematically murdered by the Nazi regime and its allies. Its scale and brutality continue to shock and serve as a grim reminder of human depravity and the consequences of unchecked hatred.
In less than a century, the Holocaust's remembrance and its lessons on human cruelty are not only fading but are being intentionally distorted, depreciated and denied. Consequently, antisemitism is not just persisting but increasing to unprecedented levels, even in areas previously considered safe havens.
Despite the darkness of the past and the challenges of the present, hope for a brighter future exists. This hope can become reality by deepening our remembrance of the Holocaust and the tragic history of antisemitism, and understanding its significance.
Now is the time to unite in educating the world about the Holocaust, ensuring its memory endures and its lessons combat antisemitism and hatred. The future of the Jewish people, and an inclusive society for all, depends on our collective action.
When I say your name,
it inspires generations to honor you.
When I share your story,
it empowers us all to write a better sequel.
When I emphasize your pain,
it reminds us of the power of resilience, of kindness, and of empathy.
When I teach your lessons,
it bridges the gap between where we’re headed, and where we’ve been.
